Wolf Marshall's Guitarland

Wolf Marshall will be working in Burt Bacharach’s new musical at the world premiere during November and December 2011. The work will have its official opening night December 7 and will run through December 31.

The Wolf Marshall Trio kicks off a second year of Jazz on the Half Shell at the Twenty/20. Come and join the trio in a famed ocean view venue that offers fine dining, libations and a heaping helping of soulful jazz and blues.
Thursday: October 13, 2011 from 6-9 PM.
This beautiful and classy spot is located on the top of the hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

I recently changed my rig to include a simple pedalboard with some lovely new toys as well as the old favorites.

What’s new is the TC Poly Tune tuner and Nova Delay and the Xotic Effects BB Plus. These are superb units! They join my favorite 1970s Ibanez TS-808 Tube Screamer overdrive, MXR Dyna Comp, Crybaby Q Zone, MXR EVH Phase 90 and Boss CE-3 Chorus. Housed in a Gator case soft cover and cabled with high quality ends and cords from Planet Waves. It’s simple and a joy to use on blues and rock gigs.

I usually place a volume pedal between board and amp. This one is a vintage 1970s Goodman passive volume pedal with throw adjustments.

This rig works very well with my PRS Dallas head and 2×12 cabinet.

The Wolf Marshall Trio will be playing JAZZ OVER EASY at the Twenty/20 on Sunday morning-afternoon on June 19. A special Father’s Day event with Wolf on guitar, Jack Hill on Hammond organ and Roger Karlsson on drums. The fun starts at 11 AM and goes till 3 PM.

Soulful jazz with good food and drink, a gorgeous view of the Pacific and a beautiful relaxed environment. What more can you ask for?
